Happy Mother’s Day

My daughter drew this picture of me and gave me a beautiful note–with neat handwriting and great descriptive words nonetheless! I couldn’t be more proud! I think about how hard this school year has been with all of our battles over homework and I am reminded that the time I am spending with my girls means something. Sometimes working, cooking, wifeying, cleaning, and mothering all while trying to keep an eye on my waist line can become a DRAG. I just love the really cute quote from William Feather from The Business of Life, 1949: “Setting a good example for your children takes all the fun out of middle age”.
True as that may be! God’s word challenges us to keep on keepin‘ on!
2 Thessalonians 3:13 (NIV)….Never tire of doing what is right.
(The Message) …Friends don’t slack off in doing your duty.
Mother’s Day Challenge: Get prepared for the week ahead!
1. Pick out/iron/prepare at least 2 days worth of clothes for yourself and your children (if applicable).
2. Pack lunches for Monday tonight and put them in the fridge.
3. Go to bed by 10:00pm tonight—before you go to sleep, count your blessings and thank God for all of His blessings!
