I love Fridays because I get to link up with other blogs via hosting link ups and because every Friday at Peaceful Divas is “Bill Pay Friday”. Basically, all Divas are challenged to pay their bills BEFORE they go out and spend ANY money over the weekend AND to stop “mental budgeting”. We all know that mental budgeting does not work and actually causes you to overspend!
Well, for most Divas, school is for out for our children!!! That means time for you to answer the age old question “What are we going to do fun today?” With my girls that translates to: where are we going to go that costs money to get into and what are we going to eat there? (which also costs money). So, before getting too excited and just rushing out into the summer spending money by having barbecues, going on unplanned trips or whatever you like to do over the summer, sit down and figure out what you have coming in and what needs to be paid FIRST. THEN, make out a list of things to do over the summer AND plan them into your budget!!!

We are spending most of our time playing in the back yard or going to our neighborhood pool that we pay for in HOA dues! We will be spending 2 weeks in Florida at my inlaws but thankfully they pay for the whole trip for us! WOOHOOO

Great post! My kids speak the same “where are we going to go that costs money to get into and what are we going to eat there?” language! Weird(not really-LOL). We have to be real careful about overspending. i'm trying to keep activities that cost to one day per week. All other days will be FREEBIES. I hope!
