Stylish Blogger Award

Just when being cooped up eating carbs was getting the best of me…….

My good friend Heather over at Some Kind of Wonderful made my day! She awarded me with a “Stylish Blogger Award”. I am just absolutely amazed at the love Heather has for her family. Her Blog is just too cute and she has managed to gather quite a following in just a short period of time.

Ok 7 things about me:

1. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two adorable girls ages 9 and 6.

2. I am desperately trying to slow down this year and be grateful! (My word theme for 2011 is gratitude.)

3. One of my favorite passtimes, outside of blogging is ZUMBA! I LOVE it! I teach ZUMBA to some of the most fabulous ladies in the world 2-3 times a week.

4. Housework just ain’t my thang. I really wish I were neater or at least enjoyed cleaning and organizing. (I would rather write a paper or do algebra problems than clean-up.) Of course since I don’t want to live in filth, I MUST clean. (If you see the clean-up fairy tell her I am looking for her.)

5. Cooking is probably right behind housework in the list of things that are just not my favs. I meal plan and cook most nights of the week out of sheer LOVE and DEVOTION for my family ONLY! (If the clean up fairy could send Chef Barbie to cook for me that would be great also!)

6. I am very passionate about empowering girls and women. I currently co-mentor a group of ninth grade girls at my church.

7. It is my dream to write a book.

Paying It forward. Ok, I know the rules stated that I needed to chose 10 blogs. Ya’ll also know that I like to (K.I.S.S.–keep it simple sista), so I chose 6 blogs. Honestly, I read so many awesome blogs that it would be hard to pick just 10. Thus, I have chosen the following 6 blogs in no particular order and totally knowing that there are so many other awesome Divas in the blogosphere!

1. Debbie at Just Breathe Debbie leaves some of the most heart felt comments. She really gets me and that is AMAZING!

2. Summur over at Braley Mama I am just blown away by Summur and her husband’s faith! They moved and are now doing God’s mighty work in Texas!

3. See Foxes The header on this blog is just too cute—3 little foxes! I only know her by “cfoxes” but she is truly a “foxy mama” from book reivews to “tasty Thursday”, to basketball practice and dance, she does it all!

4. Adrienne at Stories from the Shoebox I love her stories! I also love her tagline: “He’s not done with me yet”–Amen Sista

5. Mom to 2 Posh Lil Divas How could I NOT love this blog? (I have 2 little divas myself!) The craft ideas on this blog are AH-mazing and so much fun!

6. Ms. Noireberry Honest posts that shoot straight from da hip! Gotta love that!
