Hubby and I talked about the whole family going and decided it would be best for me to go alone. I will be taking classes and getting a new certification, so they would be there but I wouldn’t really get to engage with them.
It was a very logical decision. Why do I feel guilty? My husband travels all the time for work and some for pleasure. If he EVER feels gulity for leaving, he doesn’t show it. Sure he misses us, but I am not so sure I would go as far as to say that he feels guilty.
When I stop and think about it, I feel guilty a lot.
Do you ever feel “Mommy guilt” and if so, how do you stop it?
Romans 8:1-2
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
As you can see, I will be dancing all week so I probably won’t post very much! See you Divas next week!

I somehow manage to feel guilty often for so many things. I don't have kids but onthe rare occasion that I travel without the dogs I'm always guilt-ridden. I think it's in part because it's so difficult for us to release that responsibility, but also because to a degree we've been taught that way.
My (amazing) Mother always sacrificed everything for us, and made it clear she was doing so. It was expected that I would be the same.
I just… make myself let go of it as much as I can. I think some of my guilt comes from actually enjoying myself. I've finally come to conclude that occasionally we just NEED that time to recharge and do something for ourselves. Hope you have a BALL!!
I feel guilty all the time! I just try to remember
I need Mommy time to be a better Mommy. I also
call great friends like you to male me feel better!
Mommy Guilt astounds me sometimes with the force it comes. But I just remember that she will be fine, and I am a good mother…and every once in a while that helps…
Hope you manage to have a blast and leave the guilt behind! I was just stopping by to visit and saw you did this as a PYHO so I linked you up!
I have Mommy guilt all the time. Doesn't it come with the job????
Visiting from PYHO.
I feel Mommy Guilt almost all the time. I have four kids, so if I'm making one or two of them happy I'm doing good, therefore I'm feeling guilty about the ones who are NOT happy.
I just do the best that I can!
Happy Zumba-ing!!! and, though I'm not a mommy, I read enough to know how powerful that mommy guilt is. Logic doesn't even enter into the equation.
I get how it's about your babies every minute of every day of every year – and how they will always be your babies. Men don't say that about their kids – men call their kids, kids, or children, or brats or sons or daughters – sometimes a man will call his daughter his baby – he means it the same way he'd say my little princess – but it's not the same as the way a woman means it – there's a difference.
I hope you enjoy your conference – leave your guilt at the front door – there will be plenty of time for guilt when you get home
. God bless you Katina – and God bless each and every one of yours.
Orlando?! I'm so close! However, I've never taken a Zumba class in my life, and I'm scared to try. LOL I love that verse. It's always one of my faves. Guilt gets me all the time. I have to remind myself it's not from Him! <3 Have fun!!
